BENGALURU: Intex Technologies, one of the fastest growing IT hardware, mobile phones and electronic products company, today announced the launch of its first 7 inch android tablet INTEX i-Buddy in South India. i-Buddy has an ultra slim design with 9mm thickness which makes it perhaps the slimmest 7 tablet in India. Thoughtfully designed as an infotainment device, it is targeted at the evolved youth and urban & semi-urban professionals who aspire to own a computing device and learn the fun way!
Since this segment is very price-conscious and looks at any gadget with value for money, the company has affordably priced the tablet at an MOP of Rs 6,490. As an introductory offer, Intex has bundled i-Buddy with an exclusive leather cover with attached keyboard. The MRP of this accessory is Rs. 2590 which is being provided to i-Buddy consumers at no extra cost.
The company is offering the second model in its tablet series in South India after the successful launch of its first 8 inch tablet The INTEX i-Tab in March this year. With a planned expansion plan, the product will be available in various cities and towns in South region namely Madurai, Coimbatore, Salem, Nagercoil, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Vizag, Warangal, Guntur, Karnool, Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Mangalore, Gulbarga, Shivmoga to name just few.
Commenting on the INTEX i-Buddy offer to its consumers, Sanjay Kumar, General Manager Mobile Business, Intex Technologies said, Being Indias most literate and evolved region, the southern states hold a very important position in our growth strategy especially for the mobility business. South is one of the largest markets for technology products with 26% of Indias mobiles getting sold in South India. It is definitely a potential market for Intex as well. We aim to grow multifold in the southern states. The brisk economic growth in these states, contemporary lifestyles and buying behavior amongst the youth makes it an appropriate destination for offering Intex latest android tablet the i-Buddy which is the slimmest 7 tablet in India
Currently Intex has presence in South India through its network of 7 branch offices, 20 superstockists, 50 distributors and 2,500 retailers. The channel network will soon spread to C & D class cities and towns. Adding customer delight to its product offerings, Intex will strengthen its service centre network in South from 27 to 100 centres.
Post Tamil Nadu, the company plans to launch this tablet in other states of South India. This will be followed shortly by North, West and East India.
The company is also planning to launch new models of tablets in the coming months.
