After the departure of its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer, now it's the turn of Chief Marketing Officer Rahul Saighal to exit Aircel Ltd. (See IndiaWatch: Has Huawei Dropped Plant Plan?)
"Aircel CMO has resigned and there might be more departures," says a company source on condition of anonymity.
Chief Operating Officer Gurdeep Singh and Chief Technology Officer Mallikarjuna Rao both resigned and left the operator in recent weeks. The reasons for the departures are still unclear.
Aircel recently underwent a restructuring process that split the operator into two separate units, an operating division and a network division. While the operating division handlea the company's go-to-market strategy, branding and subscriber issues, the network division oversees its network infrastructure and associated systems. These high-profile exits are likely to impact the Long Term Evolution Time Division Duplex (LTE TDD) plans of the company. (See .)
